Post that was due on the 16th. And currently I have no internet connection. Anyways, long post ahead.
Trekked from Harbour Front to West Coast with Shaq and her friends, Abu, Ashraf, Nazif, Mike, Hamizan and Azim.
Had breakfast at Harbour Front's hawker centre where we started nearby.
Hort Park.

Took a rest at the edge of the field. Some went to refill their bottles, while others...

And there was a Pokemon battle between Charmander and Ashmon!

There was no victor eventually because both were disqualified. At least that's what I want to think it would be. Heh.
The place is beautifully created with different decorations, plants, benches, etc. There's even a playground as well as an event for small kids. Or rather, a Family Day event.

It was scorchingly hot, considering that it was around 1+ in the afternoon and there isn't much trees for shade. I thought I was going black out from exhaustion, but I didn't. On to the next pit stop.

We didn't stop for long, because our destination was still halfway through.

Canopy Walk.

It was a rather short bridge. On the otherside, we were greeted by a small road, and across was a gate leading to the History of Bukit Chandu. We somehow got lost, so we wandered around the perimeters of the place, while a few stayed back to check out the map and figure out where to go.

I'm just a poser, because the ground hurts like little dumbtacks. Yes, DUMBtacks, not thumbtacks.

The guys found out that we had to backtrack and took the other route. And so we did. And we were on our way again.

And we took a short stop, and ate a little. The pit stop overlooked a glorious view across the ocean.

We were almost there. After rest, we continued. ONWARDS!

This is the part where we hit a road block. We were lost. We had to make out the directions and our guts to guide us. We had to pass through NUS just so we could get ourselves on track again.

After going up the incredibly long flight of stairs, we hit a dead end. And we had to turn back. From the picture below, you can see how long the staircase is.

We had to walk through the (Industrial) Science Park. We nearly got lost again, due to the fact that there weren't any signs that shows where West Coast Park. Only during the first few parts of the journey. Nearly walked in the wrong direction, until we looked at the map at the nearest bus stop we could find. We relied heavily on the maps at the various pit stops, just so we wouldn't get lost.
After turning here and there, we were back on track. How did we know? Our target was the mosque below.

After taking a short rest at one of the traffic light junctions, we continued, crossing a few roads. Until...

We reached the finish line!
Total time taken: 5 hours

I laid on the rocks and snoozed for a while, till they decided to move to a more comfortable spot. We settled down at the stage. Played a bit of card games, and a few went to play soccer. Soon I followed. Played for a bit, then went back to have a good rest. I observed families spending time together, people running around pulling their kites behind them, trying to make it fly, but to no avail. There wasn't any wind.
Dinner time. Took bus to Ayer Rajah foodcourt, where Awallul, another one of Shaq's friends, joined. Ate, then chatted until 9+, where we took our leave. Upon reaching Boon Lay Interchange, I waved goodbye and headed home, satisfied. =)
